Donations to our capital campaign are financing major refurbishments to our beautiful cultural center including a new roof and much-needed repairs to the masonry and entryway. The Finnish Center Association is a 501c3 charitable non-profit, which means that all gifts are tax deductible.

HOW DONATIONS ARE USED

  • General Fund

    Supports general operations and maintenance of the Finnish Center.

  • Capital Campaign

    This campaign, which concludes in June 2026, supports major refurbishments to our beautiful cultural center.

  • Scholarship

    Supports annual scholarships for deserving students with Finnish heritage or pursuing cultural studies.

  • Library

    Supports our collection of Finnish and Finnish-American books and periodicals.

  • Finlandia Gardens

    Supports our 6-acre community gardens and its Master Gardeners and volunteers.

HOW IT’S GOING

Kiitos! Thanks to grants and generous donations from our members and friends, we are well on our way toward meeting our goal of $300,000. These funds are being used to restore and enhance our aging cultural center. The campaign commenced in June 2023 and will conclude in June 2026.

  • Yes, the Finnish Center Association is a 501c3 charitable non-profit, which means that all gifts are tax deductible.

  • A new roof on the cultural center was completed in August 2024. In coming years, additional improvements to the building’s masonry, entryway, bathrooms, and other amenities are planned. The FCA Building & Grounds Committee has prepared a prioritized list of needed repairs and improvements.
